This summer, artists Maddy Rosenberg and Hugh Bryden begin programming in Scotland related to their forthcoming, interdisciplinary artist book Sandstone Steps: Cultural Crossings with Art, Poetry and Music. In 2022, the ATBL gave a grant to the British Library to acquire one edition of Sandstone Steps, and we anticipate becoming involved with New York-based Sandstone Steps programming, once it reaches this side of the Atlantic in 2025!
The ATBL has long supported Book Arts at the British Library, through both in-kind donation of artist book items and through cataloging and conservation grants. As a multimedia project in dialogue between New York and the UK, Sandstone Steps resonated strongly with the ATBL board.
